Terms of service of the Yoomaneo platform
Yoomaneo's research activities are governed by the Code of Research Ethics (ICC/ESOMAR) and therefore respect its principles, such as the consent of individuals to the collection of their personal data, transparency regarding the use of such data, as well as respect for the rights, opinions and integrity of individuals. In this sense, Yoomaneo expressly undertakes to protect the personal data provided by its application's users, to respect their confidentiality, and not to use them for any purpose other than those clearly agreed and explained.
In accordance with Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms, users have the right to object (art. 26 of the Act), access (art. 34 to 38 of the Act) and rectification (art. 36 of the Act) of data concerning them.
II. Data use policy
In connection with the European General Data Protection Regulation in force since 18 May 2016 (GDPR), Yoomaneo is transparent about the process of its users' personal data.
1. What data does Yoomaneo collect?
- Required user account data: email, login name, choice of interests ("communities").
- Optional personal data: lastname, first name, gender, date of birth, city and country of residence.
- The topics of discussion initiated or answered, their answers to qualitative online studies.
2. When does Yoomaneo collect these data?
Yoomaneo collects data that is consented to be provided by users when they register, when they interact within their communities of interest, and when they participate and respond to an online survey.
3. What does Yoomaneo use this data for?
Yoomaneo uses this data to:
- Customize the application experience to provide users with content related to their interests.
- Collect the opinions and ideas of its users on innovative topics related to their interests when they have agreed to participate in an online study.
- Reward its users according to their participation in online studies.
- Improve its services by listening to its users.
III. GCU - User Charter
Yoomaneo's function is to carry out qualitative studies with the support of professionals identified according to their expertise and centers of interests. To do this, Yoomaneo offers studies to individuals who have registered in a community of interest within the application.
It is expressly understood that the membership and participation of users in the Yoomaneo application is voluntary, free and independent.
- Registration within the Yoomaneo application follows:
- a voluntary and consented registration of a new user,
- the communication by the new user of a set of data listed on the registration form,
- the acceptance of these conditions by the new user,
Once the registration has been completed, the user has access to all the services offered on the Yoomaneo application and may in particular be requested to take part in a study in order to answer questionnaires.
In connection with the European General Data Protection Regulation in force since 18 May 2016 (GDPR), the consent of individuals to the collection and processing of their personal data must be explicit and positive. This consent may be withdrawn at any time by individuals requesting it.
1. Participation in a study
When a user agrees to participate in a study, he or she undertakes to do his or her utmost to be able to participate in it when the time comes. In the event of an impediment, he/she must notify Yoomaneo in order to allow his/her replacement to be carried out under the best possible conditions.
The user is solicited by sending emails and notifications via the Yoomaneo application. Yoomaneo undertakes to provide the user with the means and documents that will enable him/her to participate in the study. The user may at any time, without notice or justification, request that he or she no longer be solicited.
2. Honesty, sincerity and loyalty
The user undertakes to answer the questions asked in all honesty and independence.
The user formally guarantees that the data he/she communicates to Yoomaneo and other users of the application are sincere and authentic. Yoomaneo reserves the right to exclude any user who has provided false or deliberately misleading data, or who has made multiple registrations, or who has attempted to undermine Yoomaneo's professionalism.
Participation in a study is strictly personal. In this sense, the user undertakes that no third party will answer the studies on his/her behalf and access his/her personal space on the Yoomaneo application.
The user undertakes to keep confidential any information, data and documents to which he/she may have had access to during a study and for which he/she has been requested by Yoomaneo. The user undertakes not to keep them, not to disseminate them, communicate, represent, reproduce, distribute, and more generally not to make said documents, information or data available to third parties. The user acknowledges the intellectual property rights on the information, data and documents transmitted by Yoomaneo to which he/she could have had access.
4. Respect for public order and morality
The user undertakes to comply with the regulations applicable to the dissemination of information and services on the Internet, in particular the provisions aimed at protecting public order and morality, so that at no time can Yoomaneo's liability be engaged or sought. The user therefore expressly guarantees Yoomaneo against any recourse, action or claim that may be brought against Yoomaneo with regard to the content of the information and data transmitted by the user.
5. Respect for copyright and the rights of others
The user undertakes to provide data in accordance with the regulations in force and guarantees that they are free of rights. He/she guarantees that they may be used by Yoomaneo without infringing the personality, intellectual or industrial property rights of third parties.
In general, the user expressly guarantees Yoomaneo against any recourse from any user or third party and against any action or claim that may be brought against Yoomaneo with regard to the content of the information transmitted and its use by Yoomaneo or by third parties.
